Question 1

What is Tasvirwala?

Accepted Answer

Tasvirwala is a managed visual-production marketplace in India connecting individuals, brands, and businesses with verified photographers, videographers, cinematographers, and studios. We coordinate project scoping, creator matching, milestone agreements, and deliverable delivery.

Question 2

How can I book a photographer through Tasvirwala?

Accepted Answer

Submit your project enquiry through the website. Our operations team contacts you by phone to confirm creator availability, discuss creative requirements, and agree on booking terms. After the call, we send the agreed booking-token amount and official payment instructions through our verified business WhatsApp channel.

Question 3

How does the booking confirmation process work?

Accepted Answer

Submitting an enquiry does not charge you or guarantee availability. An operations lead reviews your brief and conducts a personal phone consultation to confirm event hours, city location, and scope. Once terms are mutually agreed, booking token payment instructions are issued via WhatsApp.

Question 4

How do I find a photographer in my city?

Accepted Answer

Browse the Creators directory or Explore page to view verified creators by craft and city (such as Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Goa). You can also submit an enquiry selecting 'Other' if your shoot takes place outside listed metros.

Question 5

Do I need an account to submit a brief?

Accepted Answer

No. You can send a brief straight from the website with your name, email, and phone number. Our team creates your project record and contacts you directly.

Question 6

How fast will I hear back after sending a brief?

Accepted Answer

An operations lead reviews every incoming brief personally and initiates a confirmation call during business hours (Monday to Saturday, 10am–7pm IST).

Question 7

Does Tasvirwala charge customers online?

Accepted Answer

No. Tasvirwala does not operate an automated online payment gateway and does not store credit card numbers. All payments are discussed on your confirmation call, sent through official WhatsApp instructions, and verified manually by our finance team.

Question 8

When do I pay the booking token?

Accepted Answer

The booking token is paid only after your confirmation call verifies creator availability and all scope terms are agreed upon. You never pay before speaking with our team.

Question 9

How do the 20%, 30% and 50% milestone payments work?

Accepted Answer

Our milestone structure protects both customer and creator: a 20% booking token locks the creator's calendar, 30% is due pre-shoot to mobilize crew and gear, and the remaining 50% final balance is settled upon post-production completion before full-resolution deliverable release.

Question 10

How will I receive payment instructions?

Accepted Answer

Official payment instructions and agreed token amounts are sent exclusively through our verified business WhatsApp channel (+91 72728 90007). Payments are verified manually before recording.

Question 11

Are there any hidden booking fees or platform charges?

Accepted Answer

No. The total price agreed on your confirmation call is all-inclusive according to the 20% / 30% / 50% milestone schedule. There are no hidden platform fees or surprise checkout surcharges.

Question 12

What happens to my booking token if I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Cancellation terms depend on how close to the shoot date you cancel. The token is partly refundable up to a defined cut-off (typically 7 days prior to shoot), after which it compensates the creator for blocking their calendar. Specific terms are clarified on your confirmation call.

Question 13

How are creators verified on Tasvirwala?

Accepted Answer

Every creator undergoes an interview, portfolio review, past client reference check, and identity confirmation before being awarded the verified badge. Creators cannot approve their own verification.

Question 14

How can a creator apply to Tasvirwala?

Accepted Answer

Creators can apply via the '/for-creators' portal by submitting their portfolio, craft specialization, service areas, and commercial references. Our creator review board reviews submissions weekly.

Question 15

Can creators submit YouTube portfolio videos?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tasvirwala fully supports YouTube video URLs, including Public and Unlisted links that creators have produced for client work.

Question 16

Can creators share Google Drive portfolios?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Creators can provide Google Drive folders for portfolio reviews, provided the folder link sharing permissions are set to allow viewing.

Question 17

When and how are final deliverables released?

Accepted Answer

Final full-resolution deliverables are released after the final 50% balance payment is confirmed. Files are delivered securely via restricted Google Drive access directly to the customer's verified email. Typical turnaround: photos within 7–14 days, films within 14–28 days.

Question 18

Can I request revisions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each booking includes a defined number of revision rounds in the agreed scope. Additional revisions beyond that are quoted separately.
